“John Wick” and “The Wire” star Lance Reddick has died. The news has been confirmed by a representative.
His death comes just a week before the latest installment of the “John Wick” franchise, “John Wick: Chapter Four” is due to hit theaters.
At the wake of his death, many celebrities have taken to social media, particularly Twitter, to air their thoughts about Reddick’s passing and offer their condolences to the loved ones he left behind.

The ‘John Wick’ Star was found dead in his home in Studio City, Los Angeles, according to a report by Variety, which cites a report by TMZ. An NBC News report quotes Reddick’s publicist, Mia Hansen, as having said that the 60-year-old actor “passed away suddenly” from “natural causes.”
Hansen’s statement also says that Reddick will be missed greatly and requests privacy for his family. He leaves behind his wife, Stephanie, and two children, Yvonne and Christopher.

Celebrities Take to Twitter to Remember Lance Reddick
Reddick’s friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry and other celebrities have taken to their social media accounts to remember the actor and offer their condolences to his family and loved ones. Ben Stiller called Reddick a “beautiful and compelling actor” in a tweet.
“And a beautiful person,” he added.
Author Stephen King calls Reddick a “wonderful man” and “wonderful” actor in his own tweet, describing the news of his death as “sad.”

Who is Lance Reddick?
On the small screen, Lance Reddick is best known for his roles as Baltimore police lieutenant Cedric Daniels on the HBO crime drama series “The Wire,” Homeland Security special agent Phillip Broyles in “Fringe,” and Chief Irvin Irving on “Bosch.” On the big screen, he will arguably be best remembered for his role as Charon the concierge in the “John Wick” franchise.
Other TV roles under his belt include multiple small roles in “Law & Order,” a recurring role in “Oz,” and the role of Albert Wesker in Netflix’s “Resident Evil.” As for film roles, he also appeared in movies such as “Godzilla vs. Kong” and “Angel Has Fallen.”
Posthumously, he will star as Zeus in the upcoming series “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” and the “John Wick” spin-off movie “Ballerina.”
He has also made a name for himself in the video game industry. He lent his voice to the roles of Commander Zavala in Destiny, Destiny 2, and their DLCs, Sylens in Horizon Forbidden West, and Martin Hatch in Quantum Break, where he also did motion capture and full motion video footage.
